In hope that customers can wear the best glasses, TOKAI has applied the latest lens technology and harmonized two concepts "to see better" and "to be seen better" which have been developed through its seek to provide the best to each individuals.
From belief that the best lenses can only be achieved by considering each frame of individual on its design, the greatly functional custom-made double sides aspheric lens design "CVf" has been developed.

CVf realizes the most ideal vision with the best optical performance by considering how the lenses would be mounted to the frame whereas conventional lenses are only edged on a fixed aspheric design.

Wrap angle adjustment

The CVf improved the comfortableness of vision by designing according to wrap angle. It compensates the deviated line of sight and defocus on the retina due to the different wrap angle of each frame.

The optical performance normally decreases for frames with a deeper BC eye size due to the defocus on optical axis against the line of sight.

CVf shows high optical performance even for the frame with big wrap angle by considering the information on the lens design and compensating power, cylinder and prism respectively.

Front curve selection

The lens curve can be selected for a beautiful match with the frame.

If frame curve and lens curve do not match, the front surface of lens will stick out of the frame.

The frame curve and lens curve matches and lens shape is naturally put inside the frame.

Balanced thickness processing (standard)

The pair of lenses is similarized to give a great look when worn. (thickness and weight)

①Adjust the front curve between right and left lenses.
     ↓
②For the lens of plus power, slice processing is made.
     ↓
③Adjust the thickness between right and left.
